Do you have a router also? Are they connected to the internet?

You do need one.
See because you've networked them with a switch, which is perfectly fine, but there is now no DHCP server on the network.

DHCP servers assign IP addresses automatically to all computers on the network. With no router, there's no DHCP and nothing to hand out IP addresses. Your options are, to either buy a router, or the cheaper option is to set IP addresses manually on each computer. Make sure they're on the same subnet mask though.

Computer 1 = IP:192.168.1.50  Subnet:255.255.255.0
Computer 2 = IP:192.168.1.51  Subnet:255.255.255.0
Computer 3 = IP:192.168.1.52  Subnet:255.255.255.0
Computer 4 = IP:192.168.1.53  Subnet:255.255.255.0

Would be perfect.

Go to your network connections, Right click the network card then click "properties".
Click IP V4 and properties. You can now change it from assign automatically via DHCP to Manual and enter the details above.
Do that for each computer. A restart is advisable and so is making sure your Firewall isn't causing a problem. Disable it temporarily for testing.
