Hi, Welcome to geekimo.com.

If its a laptop, a new one, then it's probably already wireless capable. You can simply set up the network with a secure pass phrase, WPA encryption is better than WEP. WPA2+ is better still if the hardware supports it.

If its a desktop computer, In all likelihood. It doesn't already have wireless capabilities...
You can add wireless to the desktop with a simple cheap "WiFi Dongle". These are USB and are very simple to use.

The better option (slightly more expensive) is a PCI wireless card to go inside the PC. These do need installing inside the computer itself. But provide greater reliability than the USB equivalents.

For an older laptop without wireless, the same applies. Either a USB WiFi Dongle or a PCMCIA, Cardbus, card to slot in.

Not sure what you mean by "I try and connect the hub to my computer it doesn't work" The BT Home hub is designed to be connected either wireless or via an "Ethernet" cable. Usually supplied. :)

All simple enough, Hope that helps!  :P
