Windows 7 Sooner Than We Expected?

Windows 7 By The Second Half Of 2009?

Windows 7 Sooner Than We Expected? UPDATE
Microsoft has leaked info regarding the development and release of their next OS, for now known as simply Windows 7 or "Vienna".
Rumors so far indicate that with all peoples woes over Windows Vista, Microsoft are taking Windows 7 VERY seriously and pulling out all the stops!
Does this mean Vista is just a temporary bridge between XP and Windows 7?
Is Vista simply a very expensive feedback program?
Data shows the Redmond company is listening to feedback from errors, crash reports, comments, complaints and suggestions more than ever before.
This is not really much news but there isn't much news about Windows 7 available yet.
When I know, You'll know.
Is Vista Really That Bad?
One thing that Vista has gotten a lot of, is bad press.
From the word GO, forums, blogs and news everywhere exploded with bad reports.
Reading and summarizing most of these indicates peoples overall view of Microsoft. It looked bleak.
If I had to summaries all the negative press into one sentence it would be:
"Microsoft is a useless shower of idiots who couldn't program a remote control".
People with that attitude really wind me up.
When you consider that, Yeah Vista has it's issues I'm not going to deny that but the majority of these are poor driver support and software incompatibilities.
All beyond Microsoft's control, if you take a moment to consider how much new technology Vista has.
Windows and Operating systems in General are what our PCs are made of, the rest of the software and game are written for that platform.
Nobody writes an operating system to run software, its the other way round.
We need to wait for the technology to become mainstream and the rest of the world to catch up. Software companies to make use of the new features and technology that Microsoft's latest platform provides.
People are quick to shout and complain about things, but not so quick to say "Well done!"
I learned this though working years in electronics retail.
If you really go out of your way to help a customer, the attitude is that's what's expected, we get no gratitude.
If we do our best but can't help, the attitude is that we are useless.
*rant over previous job over* sorry guys.
There is a general feeling here about vista, same with the initial release of XP way back all those years, that if you say "yeah it's really great!" your going to be considered stupid and a sucker, maybe even licking Microsoft's Corporate a**.
If you say "No, it's really rubbish, full of bugs and issues", it projects an image of intelligence and higher technical knowledge, Because you've been able to spot these underlying issues over the overall prettiness of Vista.
This is wrong and these are the people who use the word n00b, not understanding where it came from what it means or why the hell there are numbers in that word?

My Personal Thoughts.
Windows Vista isn't all that bad, If you plug in a new piece of hardware, most of the time while your fumbling through your stack of disks looking for the drivers for said hardware a windows has already popped up suggesting the driver for you.
This among lots of other things makes Vista for me, very very good indeed.
One thing I can't help feeling though considering just how much big MS has been paying close attention to bug reports and feedback, doesn't that make every single Vista user a Beta tester for Windows 7? And we have paid for the privilege, well some of us paid.

As good as Vista is, i've always stuck to the notion that vista was just a temporary placement.

Before Vista was released i beleive Microsoft promised the world a brand new operating system from the ground up, Vista, as we all know, is not it.

Looking forward to the Official Release of Windows 7.

well Vista SP1 sports a brand new kernel, the famed kernel from the very good server edition.
Not sure what else your expecting... Vista did need more work before it's release but the massive radical technology and structure changes Vista introduce was bound to create controversy because of poor driver support.. Not MS' fault...
