Seagate, the worlds largest hard drive manufacturer has released a firmware upgrade to fix the recent problems with their 1.5TB drives hanging when streaming video or low speed transfers.

Further more, While Seagate maintain that no data is lost due to the fault, although inaccessible, it is still very safely sat on the drive, they are offering free data recovery for any users affected by the issue.

Seems a wise move, a massive succeed for public relations which were semi-killed by the huge drives epic FAIL.
