List some of your favorite MMO games and tell me if you would recommend them to play.

I'll start

Planetside: It is an MMOFPS and to me it is very addictive. I could write a review on this game sometime but imagine Tribes or Tribes 2 (if anyone has ever played those) except hundreds of people out to capture your bases. Very fun and one of those games that you'll wait 2 hours longer than you need to use the bathroom.

Tales of Pirates: A free-to-play MMORPG, except there is an item mall that players are allowed to buy items that can make your character stronger than it needs to be. There is a VIP service that basically gives whoever pays a certain amount a year free stuff and privileges the person who is playing for fun cannot get. Rather crappy in my opinion. I just continue to play because I have some friends and I like the guild I am in.

Dragonica Online: Another free-to-play MMORPG. It has dungeon instances and is kinda fun. Not sure about the item mall yet but it doesn't seem to give players a crappy advantage as Tales of Pirates does. Kinda creepy though because most of the male characters look like little girls...even if you try to look like a guy.

I have played WoW but not as much as the others. I never made it passed the free accounts.

Planetside isn't free. I was going to say that when I was typing but I guess I forgot. I think it's $14 a month to play unless they changed it.

I really enjoy playing SAMP, which stands for San Andreas Multi Player. The client has tons of servers created by other players, the ones I tend to play are roleplay servers, create a character and play as him/her. Very fun and addictive.

I also have played WoW, but never played it again. It's gathering dust somewhere in the house. I hated WoW. Guild Wars is fun, but the level cap annoyed me. After you have done everything all you can really do is just socialise and fight others.

Those free ones you suggested sound nice, might give those a go.

That sounds hilarious. I remember playing that game and always getting lost.

A few friends of mine are in game developement and are writing our own game+engine. I'll keep you posted on how it works out :

Ah I see, nice, I suppose it'd be much easier to configue online than with game maker anyway, because game maker is considerably limited online-wise.
