I'd love to know who ticked the Pentium 4 CPU over the Core 2 Quad. It's not faster in ANY stretch of ANYones imagination....

Even heavily overclocked 3.8Ghz P4s are beaten in benchmarks by a default clock 2.4Ghz Core 2 Quad...

Not only is it faster because of the more cores, even in single threaded applications where the program only uses one core its still faster because of the much higher level 2 (L2) cache size.

Also, the 45nm or 65nm fabrication process of the Core 2 Quad (depending on the particular core version, over the 130nm or 90nm (Depending on core version) of the Pentium 4. Makes a HUGE difference.
